Patriots vs. Jets predictions and live updates: NFL Thursday Night Football, how to watch, time, odds and news

The Patriots' already weak offensive line will have to do without the left starting five tonight, but received some good news before the game.

While left tackle Vederian Lowe (knee) and left guard Sidy Sow (ankle) were out, starting right tackle Mike Onwenu was cleared to play after his participation was questionable due to a wrist injury.

Without Lowe, rookie Caedan Wallace, the team's third-round pick this spring, is expected to make his first career start at left tackle.

The offensive line has been the Patriots' biggest issue two weeks into the season, with Jacoby Brissett struggling to avoid rushers. Heading into today's game, the Patriots' offensive line ranks second worst in pressure rate, allowing it 44 percent of the time. The Jets rank third in pressure rate, according to TruMedia. So an already difficult opponent for the Patriots' offensive line is going to be even more difficult with two starters missing up front.

The Patriots also left cornerback Marco Wilson off the roster after he struggled in coverage last week. The advantage for them is that all four players who were questionable – Onwenu (wrist), Jabrill Peppers (shoulder), Deatrich Wise (shoulder) and David Andrews (hip) – are playing.
