Teenager accused of spreading child pornography on social media

ARNAUDVILLE, Louisiana (KPLC) – A 17-year-old girl was arrested for allegedly sharing child sexual abuse videos on Snapchat.

Authorities with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office began their investigation on September 17 after learning of an incident involving four students at Beau Chene High School.

According to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, the videos were sent in a group message on Snapchat. School officials then confiscated the four cell phones of the students involved and handed them over to the sheriff's office.

After further investigation, Guidroz said Addison F. LeBlanc of Opelousas allegedly shared the videos.

LeBlanc was arrested and charged with child pornography.

The investigation is ongoing, Guidroz said.
