Minnesota school bus driver back on the road after Hibbing crash – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – A Minnesota school bus driver resumed his route for the Cherry School District Thursday following last week's accident near Hibbing.

Life is slowly returning to normal for the affected families. One of the girls on the bus is Mackenzie Haapala, who broke her collarbone. Her father says she is in pain, but she is holding on.

“She's back on Monday. She's back in school and hopefully we can get her back on the bus next week, but this is a big step forward for, well, every kid on the bus, including the driver.”

Her father says that for now, Mackenzie will be driven to school by a neighbor.
