Drug raid on unlicensed residential home for addicts leads to several arrests in Taylorville

On September 19, an investigation was launched after information surfaced about suspected drug activity at a property in the 900 block of East Oak Street. The property was identified as an unlicensed addiction treatment facility designed to provide a safe environment for individuals recovering from addiction.

In the further course of the investigation, sufficient suspicions arose which led to the obtaining of a search warrant for narcotics.

During the execution of the search warrant, several people were arrested.

James Crepin, 51, the owner of the home, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and unauthorized use of property.

38-year-old Joseph Besson is charged with possession of methamphetamine as well as possession with intent to traffick and trafficking in methamphetamine.

Sean Neville, 29, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to resell.

Patrick Carr, 27, was charged with three counts of methamphetamine trafficking and possession with intent to traffic.
