Caddo Parish Grand Jury indicted 7 counts of murder, obstruction of justice and rape

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – INFORMATION FROM THE CADDO PARISH DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE

The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned seven counts of indictment at its session, which ended on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Three of the charges were related to local murders, while one charge was filed for obstruction of justice. One man was filed two charges, one for hit and run and one for drunk driving. The seventh charge was filed under seal for first degree rape.

  • Malcolm Jamal Morris, 33, and Deonza Dewayne McClinton Sr., 31, both of Shreveport, were separately charged with first-degree murder in connection with the June 4, 2024, killing of 41-year-old Billy Ray Doyle. Doyle, of Keithville, was outside a gas station in the 4300 block of Linwood Avenue when he was struck by gunfire. He died at the scene.
  • Ledonald Tyeska Sanders, 40, of Haughton, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the June 10, 2024, killing of Breyone Grimes, 37. Mr. Grimes was shot while sitting in his car at a gas station on the corner of Hollywood and Jewella Avenue.
  • Shanecia Sade-Lynette Bradley, 20, is charged with obstruction of justice. She is accused of tampering with evidence in an unspecified criminal case on July 24, 2024.
  • Donnie Ray Harris, 68, of Shreveport, was charged twice with hit and run and repeated DUI, a misdemeanor. The felony charge is related to an incident that occurred on July 22, 2024, while the DUI charge stems from an event the following day.
  • John Lee Taylor, 40, of Shreveport, is charged with first-degree rape in connection with an incident that occurred on or before May 9, 2024, when he was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on $750,000 bail. Due to the nature of the allegations against him, his arraignment was sealed and further details are not available.
