Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the gas station and spoke with employees, who identified both the shooter and the woman as regular customers and said the woman had applied for a job at the station months earlier.

Using this information, police identified the suspects as Mary Jane Nolan and Tyrone Chase Jr. Officers arrested both of them at Chase's apartment.

During questioning, Nolan confirmed, according to police, that they had planned to steal the victim's marijuana because she had previously purchased marijuana from him in the past.

The St. Charles County District Attorney's Office charged Chase with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a weapon and aiding and abetting first-degree robbery. Nolan was charged with aiding and abetting first-degree assault, aiding and abetting first-degree robbery and aiding and abetting armed criminal action. Both were held on $500,000 cash bail.
