Huntsville father reports disturbing incident involving his 2-year-old daughter in local park | News

The incident occurred on Wednesday in Buchanan Park.

A Huntsville father told WAAY 31 News about a shocking and disturbing discovery he and his two-year-old son made at a local park.

Aaron Schell says he was disgusted and disturbed after watching a man masturbate in the park.

“No, something is wrong here,” said Schell. “My gut feeling never deceives me.” That's when, Schell said, he had the feeling on Wednesday morning that something was wrong in Buchanan Park.

He said five minutes after they arrived at the park, a white car pulled up. After a few minutes, Schell said, he noticed a man wearing sunglasses and a hat in the car staring at them.

“He was staring in the rearview mirror and the side mirrors quite a bit, and that's when I started to get the creeps. And that's when I decided to go to my car because I noticed that he almost broke his neck and it was really hard to look at me and my daughter,” Schell said.

Schell said that while they were in the car, he looked out the window and saw the man masturbating.

Schell then said he got out of his car again to approach the man, and at that moment the man put the car in gear and almost ran him over as he drove out.

“I just want to have a good time out here with my daughter and it's being ruined by some sick, disturbed person,” Schell said.

Huntsville police said they are aware of this incident and are currently investigating it. They told WAAY 31 they will be reviewing camera footage to locate the car and then the person, whose identity is currently unknown.

Schell said he and his daughter will find another place to play for now. “We have to do whatever it takes as parents to keep our children safe, and that means going to extremes.”

As police continue to investigate the case, they are asking the public for help, encouraging people to use their surveillance camera sharing program.
