Paragould woman accused of stealing her debit card


PARAGOULD, Arkansas – A woman was arrested in May for allegedly stealing and using a debit card.

The probable cause affidavit states that on May 10, 2024, Paragould police took a report from an alleged victim that someone had stolen his debit card and used it without permission at several locations in town. On May 13, the alleged victim was interviewed by police and provided documentation of the fraudulent transactions.

Two of the locations where the card was used were Dollar General at 4409 W. Kingshighway and Kum & Go at 4609 W. Kingshighway. The total amount of fraudulent charges was $348.52.

On May 14, detectives used the card to obtain surveillance video from both of the suspect's retailers. They later identified the suspect from the video.

Shonda Wilson-Gutierrez, 49, of Paragould, is charged with theft and fraudulent use of a credit/debit card.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
