Maine Coon brothers turn afternoon backpacking walk into comical catfight

Before I became the proud mother of two cats, I had my own dreams and ideas of what it would be like. When I adopted my second, my first cat was only two years old, so I thought she was the perfect age to be a big sister to a kitten. She was fully grown, a little mature, and used to this whole “cat thing,” so she could show her little brother how it's done, and of course, they would hit it off right away. There was no doubt that there were lots of cute iPhone photoshoots and snuggles with my kitten siblings in my future.

As you can probably predict, this is not quite how it turned out in the end… but at least we finally found peace in the house. But as for the two Maine Coons in this video, I have to wonder what they are like when they are not locked in a backpack…

Recently, @jimmy_and_beaks shared a video showing what it's like to go for a walk with her Maine Coons Jimmy and Beaks. The kitties are in their backpacks and out enjoying the great outdoors with their humans… but instead of a peaceful experience, the two go at each other!

This is a big slapping match…and both are out for blood (even though it looks like neither of them is going to win this duel).

I know what you are thinking: This was a recipe for disaster from the start, between walking cats outdoors And putting them in backpacks. But many cats like that sort of thing. They probably just wish they weren't spending that time with their annoying brother!

However, her parents emphasize in the caption that their cats are not always like this.

“One moment they're licking each other, the next they're biting each other's butts. Brothers!! All paws and no pants,” they joked. “They actually love each other… just a little travel violence now and then!!”

Jimmy & Beaks' brotherly love

Their parents are right – the two usually act like best friends, so this must have been a bad day for both of them.

The love that Jimmy and Beaks have for each other is also evident in other videos on their account. The entire Instagram is dedicated to their outdoor adventures, which they have been having for about two years. Most of the time, the two get along well when they are out and about; here you can even see them peacefully sharing the same backpack, which is pretty impressive.

But every now and then there are Is Travel violence. Can we talk about how funny this other exchange is?

Even if siblings get along most of the time, arguments will still occur. Whether it's a cat or a human, it's inevitable!
