After shooting at Arizona Mills shopping center, Tempe police ask the public for help

TEMPE, AZ – Tempe police are asking for the public’s help in connection with last week’s shooting at Arizona Mills mall.

On September 13, at around 7:30 p.m., a dispute broke out between two groups of people in the food court, police said. The dispute led to a shooting in the mall, but no one was injured.

Tempe Police provided an update on the incident on Thursday:

According to police, twelve cartridge cases were found in the catering area.

The incident led to several police searches of the mall. As of Friday evening, neither victims nor suspects were found.

To help determine the identities of those involved, police are asking anyone who took photos or videos in the food court between 7 and 8 p.m. to come forward. Tempe police can be reached at 480-350-8311.

The police could not give a specific number of people they were looking for, but assume that two “large groups” were involved.

Those who provide photos or videos to law enforcement may remain anonymous.

This incident remains under investigation.
