PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Braddock man has been arrested and faces multiple charges related to swatting calls and threats against the Woodland Hills School District.

Beginning of the month Classes in the district were switched to virtual learning after swatting calls and threats.

The police have now found the person who is said to be responsible for these calls and threats.

According to court documents, 25-year-old Dante Meadows of Allegheny County Police is accused of making terroristic threats, harassment and threatening to use weapons of mass destruction.

According to police, Meadows called the district on Monday and threatened to shoot more than a dozen children. Police say Meadows called the district again later in the week and threatened to shoot children, adding that he had a bomb.

Police said investigators examined the swatting calls in the county and traced them to a home in Braddock.

When police obtained a search warrant for the house, they found Meadows with two other people. They noticed that Meadows' voice sounded “very similar” to the voice on the phone recordings from the school.

Meadows denied making the calls.

According to police, a search of Meadows' bedroom found several cell phones, a laptop and a router. All contained evidence that matched call logs and IP addresses, allowing calls from his devices to be traced back to the school.

Court records show Meadows is awaiting arraignment and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
