Coroner responds to accident involving pedestrian on highway; temporary closure reported

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (WAFB) – The East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office responded to a crash involving a pedestrian that resulted in a temporary highway closure in Baton Rouge early Friday morning.

Emergency crews confirmed the accident occurred around 4:20 a.m. on I-10 East at the I-10/I-12 fork near Essen Lane. The accident closed the exit ramp from I-12 West to I-10 East.
