Reporter Olivia Nuzzi suspended for ‘non-physical’ relationship with RFK Jr.

In a resurfaced interview Nuzzi gave to the New York Times in March, after the relationship allegedly began, she said political commentators may be “willfully ignoring” the fact that the presidential election is a “race between three men.”

“A majority of Americans say they are unhappy with another lesser-of-two-evils election campaign. And they are lucky because they have a number of third-party candidates to choose from,” Nuzzi said.

“One of those candidates, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is doing well in the polls, especially among young people, and is gaining more votes across the country.”

Other comments from Nuzzi also surfaced in which she criticized the portrayal of female reporters in films. “Why does Hollywood think female reporters sleep with their sources?” Nuzzi wrote on Twitter in 2015.

In her statement, Nuzzi said the relationship “should have been disclosed to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest. I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I have disappointed, especially my colleagues in New York.”
