The 108th season of Le Petit starts with “Murder for Two”

NEW ORLEANS (Press Release) – “Murder for Two” opens Le Petit Theatre’s 108th season with a mix of music, chaos and murder!

In this hilarious 90-minute show, two actors play 13 roles – not to mention the piano – in a witty and tongue-in-cheek homage to old-fashioned crime dramas. ONE ACTOR investigates the crime. THE OTHER plays all the suspects. And BOTH play the piano. This murderous musical comedy is not to be missed!

“I have been a fan of Murder For Two since the sold-out run in New York. This imaginative crime musical comedy feels just as at home in the French Quarter as it does off Broadway,” said production manager Don-Scott Cooper in a press release about the new season.

Officer Marcus Moscowicz is a small-town cop who dreams of becoming a detective, played by a New Orleans native Max DoVale. All suspects are played by Mark Schenfischwho has performed “Murder for Two” in over 150 regional performances. Ricky Graham returns to Le Petit to guide the two through Whitney Manor while the audience rides along to find out who did it.

“Murder for Two” at Le Petit Theatre begins with opening night on Friday, October 4th and runs through October 20th. Previews are Thursday, October 3rd with discounted tickets for all seats. Students of all ages can purchase discounted tickets for all shows.

Graham’s creative team also includes André LaSalle (stage design), Daniel Rigamer (costume design), Bill Camp (lighting design), Jamie Doyle (sound design) and Deborah Bommer-Morrissey (Property design).
