Threats against schools are circulating in several districts of York County

POLICE SAY CHARGES WILL BE FILED TODAY AND MORE SCHOOL THREATS ARE CURRENT IN YORK COUNTY, FORCING A LOCKDOWN AND WARNINGS TO PARENTS. NORTHEASTERN HIGH SCHOOL IN MANCHESTER WAS LOCKDOWN TODAY AFTER AN INTRUDERS ALERT WAS REPORTED. A VIRAL THREAT, MAINLY VIA SNAPCHAT, WAS SENT TO PARENTS IN THE CENTRAL YORK AND EASTERN YORK SCHOOL DISTRICTS TODAY. Threats against schools are circulating in several districts of York County

Threats against schools circulated in several York County districts on Thursday. Northeastern High School in Manchester was placed on lockdown after reports of an intruder. Viral threat alerts — primarily via Snapchat — were sent to parents in the Central York and Eastern York school districts. Those two districts stressed that there are currently no known credible threats, and they are working with law enforcement to investigate. Earlier this month, schools and law enforcement investigated threats in three other Susquehanna Valley districts: South Eastern, South Western and West Shore.

YORK COUNTY, Pennsylvania —

On Thursday, threats against schools circulated in several York County districts.

Northeastern High School in Manchester was placed on lockdown after reports of an intruder.

In the Central York and Eastern York school districts, warnings about viral threats were sent to parents, primarily via Snapchat.

These two districts stressed that there are currently no known credible threats and that they are cooperating with law enforcement in the investigation.

Earlier this month, schools and police departments investigated threats in three other Susquehanna Valley districts: South Eastern, South Western and West Shore.
