Tjerk Jan Post, 55, was killed in an accident in Nockamixon Township in October 2023.

A Bucks County man is facing multiple counts of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection with a car crash in Nockamixon Township last October that left a Dutch-born father of three from Towamencin Township dead.

Kyle T. Jesiolowski, 29, of Ottsville, was charged Thursday by the Bucks County District Attorney with five counts of homicide by motor vehicle, homicide by motor vehicle while operating under the influence of alcohol, aggravated assault by motor vehicle, aggravated assault by motor vehicle while operating under the influence of alcohol and two counts of accidents resulting in death or personal injury while operating without a license, court records show.

Jesiolowski is also charged with six misdemeanors in connection with the October 7, 2023, crash on Route 611: driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unsafe driving.

Pennsylvania State Police in Dublin allege Jesiolowski was driving drunk and without a license when his pickup truck collided head-on with a Kia driven by Tjerk Jan Post, 55.

Police were called to the 9200 block of Easton Road in Nockamixon Township at 2:10 p.m. on October 7 for a report of a multi-vehicle crash. Arriving officers found a 2018 Dodge Ram and a 2021 Kia Telluride with major and inoperable damage following a head-on collision.

According to the accident report, Jesiolowski was traveling south on Easton Road when he lost his lane, crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with the Kia driven by Post.

The Pennsylvania State Police were assisted at the scene by units from Palisades Regional Fire and Rescue, Saint Like's Emergency Ambulance, Central Bucks EMS, Upper Bucks Regional EMS, Dewey Fire Company and Swamp's Towing.

A 51-year-old male passenger in Post's car and Jesiolowski were taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill for treatment of their injuries, the report said.

In Post's obituary, the Dutch native from Renkum is described as a young swimming and lifeguard fan. According to the obituary, he had a close relationship with his mother and brother.

He worked at Reser Inc. in Harleysville and in the Netherlands.

Post immigrated to the United States to study communications at Temple University, where he played basketball for the Owls and made it to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division I tournament in the 1990-91 season.

“He loved sharing his culture with his children and introducing them to the foods he grew up with. Whenever he had the chance, he made them his mother's Dutch pancakes. When the Dutch national football team had a game, they all dressed up in orange to cheer them on. And he often called his children to tell them about his favorite Formula 1 driver, Max Verstappen. Jan encouraged his children to work hard, be present and appreciate what really matters in life – spending time with family and friends,” his obituary said.
