JetBlue opens its first airport lounges, including one in Boston – Boston News, Weather, Sports

(CNN) — JFK and Boston Logan airports will soon be home to JetBlue's first airport lounges, the airline announced Thursday.

The airline's first airport lounge is scheduled to open in Terminal 5 of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York in late 2025, followed “soon” by a lounge in Terminal C of Boston Logan International Airport.

The lounges are part of the airline's initiative to meet demand for premium offerings, which it calls JetForward and follows the strategy of “Be popular, be profitable”.

“Customers have been asking for a JetBlue lounge for years and we can't wait to unveil our version in New York and Boston,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, in a statement. “Lounges have become a must-have offering for the growing number of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue's lounges will further enhance the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards.”

JetBlue's lounge at JFK will be 8,000 square feet in total, and the one in Boston will be 1,200 square feet. The lounges will offer complimentary food and beverages, free Wi-Fi, and a range of work and social areas.

To avoid the overcrowding that has been seen in some airline lounges in recent years, access to the lounges will be largely limited to premium credit card holders and the airline's most loyal customers.

The following passengers have free access:

• New JetBlue premium credit card holders (details to be announced soon)
• TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members
• Transatlantic Mint customers

TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue's new premium credit cardholders are offered complimentary guest access.

Subject to availability, other eligible passengers may purchase day passes and guest passes. Annual passes are available for purchase to all customers.
