Braelon Allen: I fell in the fourth round because I didn't run in my underwear

Jets rookie running back Braelon Allen had a strong performance Thursday night, rushing 11 times for 55 yards in a win over the Patriots, and he believes he shows NFL teams should regret passing on him until the 134th pick in the draft.

When asked on social media why he slipped to the fourth round in the 2024 NFL Draft, Allen replied that it was because of his decision not to run the 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine or Pro Day in Wisconsin.

“Everyone wanted see me running in my underwear to decide if I'm a good football player,” Allen said.

At 6'1″ and 235 pounds, running fast in a straight line isn't Allen's strong suit, and he was still recovering from a college ankle injury that caused him to not test at the 40-yard line. That may have affected his draft rating, but now that he's in the league, it's a distant memory.
