NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Mt. Juliet Police arrested two teenagers Friday after a license plate reader alerted officers to a stolen car in the area.

Police said MJ Guardian Shield, their LPR program, alerted officers to a stolen Nissan from Jackson, Tennessee, that was taken on Sept. 17.

Shortly thereafter, the car was intercepted by officers on Mt. Juliet Road near Lebanon Road. Two juveniles, both from Hermitage/Nashville, were arrested.

“Officers quickly reached the victim in Jackson and the woman was elated that her car had been found,” the MJPD said.
