2 injured in small plane crash in Shakopee

SHAKOPEE, Minnesota — Two people were injured when a small plane crashed in Shakopee on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The accident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. in Scenic Heights Park, Shakopee police said. Two passengers were hospitalized, but police did not release the severity of their injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Police are asking the public to avoid Scenic Heights Park.

The crash is being investigated by both local and federal authorities.
