Ronaldo helps Pioli to victory against Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League

Cristiano Ronaldo got on the scoresheet on Friday night as former Milan coach Stefano Pioli recorded his first win as coach of Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr.

Al-Nassr secured a 3-0 away win against Al-Ettifaq, coached by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Ronaldo scored the first goal with a penalty in the 33rd minute and with goals from Saleem Al-Najdi and Talisca in the second half, the Italian tactician was assured of a successful start to his new role.

Al-Nassr currently sits fourth in the Saudi Pro League after recording two wins and two draws in their first four league matches of the season, but Al-Taawoun and Al-Shabab can still catch the team if they win their catch-up matches.

Pioli, who left his post as Milan head coach at the end of the 2023-24 season, was signed by Al-Nassr on Wednesday on a two-year contract reportedly worth €12 million per season.
