Lottery ticket worth $1 million sold in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) – One of central Illinois’ newest millionaires struck it rich with a $10 scratch-off ticket.

A lucky person purchased the new $10 Gold Multipler Instant at the Fas Mart/Marathon gas station at 3801 South 6th Street in Springfield and won the $1 million jackpot, Illinois Lottery officials said Friday.

Fas Mart will also receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery currently offers a number of Instant Ticket games ranging in price from $1 to $50, available at approximately 7,000 retail locations throughout Illinois.
