SEC releases first availability report for Arkansas-Auburn football game in Week 4

FAYETTEVILLE – The SEC on Wednesday released the first report on student-athlete availability for Arkansas’ Week 4 football game at Auburn.

The conference requires reports for football, men's and women's basketball and baseball games between SEC opponents. The rule was implemented this year.

According to SEC policy, “school personnel must submit an availability report three days before each football game. This report must be updated daily and must include a final report 90 minutes before the start of the game.”

Schools that report late or inaccurately face a fine of between $25,000 and $100,000.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said during the SEC's weekly coaches conference call on Wednesday that the Razorbacks were preparing for their first availability report by compiling practice reports for each of the team's first three games.

Pittman said Dave Polanski, Arkansas' deputy director of sports medicine, is responsible for entering and processing the information in the availability report.

Pittman announced Monday that offensive lineman Patrick Kutas (back) would be out and safety Hudson Clark (back) was questionable. Kutas has been injured since the second day of preseason practice and Clark was injured in the first half against Oklahoma State in Week 2.

Cornerback Jaylon Braxton (bone bruise) was not selected but did not play against Alabama-Birmingham and will reportedly miss the Auburn game. Pittman said earlier this week that he expects Braxton to be able to play.

Other absences include defensive back Miguel Mitchell, who has not been available this season, tight end Andreas Paaske (unknown) and wide receiver Khafre Brown (unknown).

The participation of wide receiver Dazmin James, who was suspended last week for violating team rules, is questionable.

Center Addison Nichols (severe ankle sprain) was hampered in practice last week and left the UAB game after the third play.

Nichols, defensive ends Nico Davillier and Anton Juncaj, safety Jayden Johnson and running back Ja'Quinden Jackson were all listed as probable.
