Murder of photographer Ed French in Twin Peaks: Two people finally convicted

According to San Francisco Public Safety News, the two attempted to sell the stolen camera in SoMa on the day of the shooting before having dinner with two friends at Benihana in Burlingame.

They were later identified and arrested after committing another armed robbery on tourists at St. Mary's Cathedral on July 28, 2017.

French, who was born and raised in the city, was “Mr. San Francisco,” according to his sister.

“He loved this city,” Lorrie French told the Standard by phone. “He was dedicated. He was a good, loving person. He would help anyone. He was a giver, he was funny, he had knowledge and he was my buddy.”

The verdict for Decuir and Mims is scheduled for December 6. Both remain in custody.

Jenkins acknowledged that the French family had to wait seven years for the case to be resolved. “Although this family has had to wait far too long, I am relieved that the system has been able to provide them with justice,” she said.
