Sturgill Simpson kicks off Johnny Blue Skies Tour in LA: Watch

Sturgill Simpson is about to return to performing after a three-year hiatus. He made up for lost time on Saturday night with a whopping three-hour performance at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. In July, he shared Passage of Desirehis first album under the new name Johnny Blue Skies; at last night's show he performed a handful of songs from that album, as well as some fan favorites from his back catalog. The 32-song setlist also included a number of covers, including references to Neil Diamond, the Doors, the Allman Brothers Band, Roy Orbison, When In Rome, princeand more.
