Video shows Diddy's arrest in New York hotel

Newly released video obtained from TMZ shows the moment Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested for sex trafficking in a New York hotel and taken into federal custody on Monday evening.

The release of the video follows Diddy's placement on suicide watch in a special housing unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, amid suspicions that he was targeted in the attacks.

The video shows Diddy, dressed in a black trench coat, entering the Park Hyatt New York in Midtown Manhattan with his entourage.

As soon as he enters the lobby, the mogul is arrested by the police and separated from his group.

Then Diddy's team panics and isn't sure what's happening. They pace the hotel lobby as the rapper is led away.

Shortly thereafter, Diddy appears on camera again, with his hands behind his back, as federal agents escort him down the hallway and into an elevator.

They then lead him through the lobby and out the front door of the hotel as pedestrians line the sidewalk.

What did Diddy do?

The music mogul is accused of conspiracy to commit organized crime and sex trafficking. The indictment against him lists allegations dating back to 2008.

He is accused of luring female victims and male sex workers into drugged sexual performances known as “freak offs,” sometimes lasting days. The charges also indirectly refer to an attack on his former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, that was caught on video.

“Not guilty,” Combs said in court, standing up to speak after listening expressionlessly to the charges with his uncuffed hands folded in his lap.

“Simply put, he is a serial offender and a serial blocker,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson said in court.

On Thursday, his request for bail was denied. He was charged in a federal case with sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit organized crime, as well as a number of other illegal offenses.

What are “Freak Offs”?

The indictment accuses Combs of leading a sordid sex crime empire that abused his “power and prestige” for “sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”

The “Freak Offs” were gatherings where Diddy allegedly used his power to entice victims to engage in sexual acts with male sex workers, according to The indictment was unsealed on Tuesday.

Diddy's Baby Oil

When officers searched his homes in LA and Miami in March, they seized drugs, videos, three AR-15s with defaced serial numbers, and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, allegedly “Freak Off” supplies.

His staff allegedly made sure that the “Freak Offs” were equipped with baby oil, bedding and lighting.
