One person arrested after alleged domestic incident in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana (CALF) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a suspected domestic incident involving a child in the 5700 block of Harris Drive on Saturday, September 14.

The victim at the scene told police that he was stabbed during an altercation. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

After further investigation, 29-year-old Dijon Teriquan Phoenix was named as a suspect and a search warrant was obtained for the apartment on Harris Drive.

An arrest warrant was issued against Phoenix for domestic violence and intentional grievous bodily harm.

On Monday, September 16, Phoenix was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

Phoenix was released the next day on $15,000 bail.

The investigation is not yet complete.
