As the News Center reported at 11:00 a.m., the accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at the intersection of E. Fourth Street and South Philadelphia Street.

LATEST STORIES:

A stolen Kia Forte, driven by a 16-year-old, was traveling 85 miles per hour when it struck an oncoming GMC Sierra and two parked vehicles.

Eileen Watson told News Center 7 that her car was hit.

“We haven’t had it for four months,” Watson said.

Watson said she has lived near the intersection for six years.

“We were all scared to death,” Watson said.

Watson's neighbor, Tim Hooven, told News Center 7 he's had enough.

Hooven said smashed car parts on the road have become the new normal for her.

“They chase them down the street all day long. And of course, you just saw all the kids on motorcycles. I guess they're the new outlaws,” Hooven said.

Hooven said there have been four accidents at this intersection in the past year, two of which he described as serious.

“A girl was hit here. Her car was hit and she stayed here for four and a half to five hours before the police even showed up,” Hooven said.

Dayton police said the 16-year-old driver, his 15-year-old passenger and another driver were injured in the crash.

The two teenagers were later arrested after receiving medical treatment.

Some homeowners told News Center 7 they would like to see the city install speed bumps and have more police officers patrol the area.
