Fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Friday in Enfield

ENFIELD, Connecticut – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Enfield Friday afternoon, according to Enfield police.

According to Enfield police, Amanda Santiago, 27, of Springfield, Massachusetts, died after being taken to St. Francis Hospital. Santiago was a passenger on the motorcycle.

The collision occurred around 1:20 p.m. near 35 Somers Road. The police traffic division is currently investigating the accident.

The driver of the motorcycle, 31-year-old Jose Del Rosario Collazo Jr. of Chicopee, Massachusetts, was also taken to St. Francis Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Because the accident remains under investigation, Enfield Police are asking anyone with pertinent information to call Officer Nisyrios at 860-763-8985.
