Second murder charge after fatal house fire in Wolverhampton

A second man has been charged with murder following a house fire in Wolverhampton.

Daniel Tatters, 25, from Basford, Stoke-on-Trent, is accused of four counts of attempted murder and arson with intent to endanger human life.

Dale Francis, 36, also of Basford, faces the same charges in connection with the incident in Plascom Road, East Park, in the early hours of June 25.

Akashdeep Singh, 26, died in hospital after being trapped on the upper floor with family members who were seriously injured in the fire.

Mr Tatters was remanded in custody and will appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Mr Francis appeared before the same court earlier this month and was remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court on October 11.

Crimestoppers announced that a reward of up to £20,000 was being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of all those involved in the incident.
