“Summer School” canceled on Max after two seasons

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is closing its doors; Max has decided not to renew the drama for a third season.

Season 2 of the spinoff was released on May 9 and ran until June 20. The series followed the events of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sinwhich debuted five years after the original pretty Little Liars Series ended.

“Although Max does not have a third season of pretty Little Liars“We are so grateful to our co-creators Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, as well as the team at Warner Bros. Television, for reintroducing fans to this new version of Liars, who team up to battle the latest scary villain to strike fear into Millwood,” Max said in a statement. “Their unique and modern creative vision – combined with the immense talent of our cast and crew – gave the series a fun, horror-filled point of view that paid tribute to its original Rosewood roots.”

The series starred Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles and Maia Reficco as the next generation of Pretty Little Liars. Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez and Elias Kacavas also star.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School was created, written and produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Lindsay Calhoon Bring (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). Aguirre-Sacasa's Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment are producing in association with Warner Bros. Television. Alloy's Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo are also executive producers, along with Marlene King (who developed the original series). pretty Little Liars series) and Michael Grassi.
