Orlando man accused of shooting in anger on I-4 faces multiple charges

Orlando police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged roadside aggression shooting along Interstate 4.

A video released by the OPD on Friday shows police arresting Gabriel Rodriguez-Laracuente after he allegedly fired shots at another car following a near-collision.

The incident began when police received a call from a driver who reported that Rodriguez-Laracuente, 46, fired a shot into the passenger side of his vehicle after the two cars nearly collided. The victim also told dispatchers that the suspect was still following him.

Using information from the call, officers were able to locate both vehicles near Rio Grande Avenue and 40th Street.

Officials said a bullet hole was found in the victim's car, but no firearms were found. In Rodriguez-Laracuente's vehicle, police found a Glock pistol, a spare magazine and a shell casing.

Rodriguez-Laracuente was arrested and faces several charges, including aggravated assault with a firearm, shooting from a vehicle and attempting to shoot at an occupied vehicle.
