Serious accident leads to closure of a busy street in downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A busy street in downtown Phoenix was closed early Saturday morning due to a serious accident.

The collision occurred at the intersection of 16th Street and Camelback Road. Arizona's family saw two vehicles heavily damaged. One vehicle was completely crushed on the passenger side, while a pickup truck sustained heavy damage to the front.

Arizona's family has contacted Phoenix police for information about possible injuries.

Camelback Road is closed in both directions and the intersection at 16th Street is closed as crews work to clear the debris. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the accident.
