Man dies after motorcycle crash on Frankfort Avenue, Louisville police say | News from WDRB

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — A man died Friday night when his motorcycle crashed into a truck in Louisville's Clifton neighborhood.

Dwight Mitchell, a spokesman for the Louisville Metro Police, said officers became aware of the accident at the intersection of Stoll and Frankfort avenues shortly before 7 p.m.

According to police, a pickup truck attempted to turn left from northbound Stoll Avenue onto westbound Frankfort Avenue and struck a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Frankfort Avenue.

A man who was driving the motorcycle was taken to UofL Hospital and died. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Saturday that Layne Todd, 39, died of blunt force trauma shortly after 7:30 p.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
