Warm on Saturday with some showers and thunderstorms, then a big cool down on the first day of fall – ABC 6 News

Like clockwork, the last day of summer is warm and humid with a few thunderstorms, and autumn begins noticeably cooler.

A strong cold front will move through the region on Saturday. Before that, highs will be below 27 degrees again on Saturday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop late Saturday afternoon and into the early evening.

Temperatures will drop quickly Saturday night into Sunday morning. Along with cooler air, there will also be more clouds on Sunday and Monday. Highs will remain at 15 degrees on Sunday and Monday, ushering in fall with a seasonal touch.

After Saturday evening, little rain is expected during the forecast period. A few showers are possible on Sunday and Monday, but only a trace of rain is expected.

The 27 degrees are over for now, but after Monday the temperatures next week will be pleasantly warm, between 21 and 25 degrees.
