A Daytona Beach drug dealer nicknamed “Red Eye” was sentenced to life in prison Thursday for murder in the sale of a fatal dose of drugs.

The investigation began on December 13, 2022, with the death of 40-year-old Shavon Maria Kennedy from a drug overdose in Daytona Beach. Investigators found a message on her phone that she had purchased heroin/fentanyl and crack cocaine from a dealer named “Red Eye.”
