PRESS RELEASE – Gilmer County Sheriff Stacy Nicholson announces that three Ellijay men have been charged with first-degree murder in an investigation dating back to Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at approximately 10:50 p.m.

Gilmer County Sheriff's officials responded to a 911 call that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, along with emergency responders, they found 19-year-old Mallory Lyric Warden of Jasper in a car with a gunshot wound. This occurred in the area of ​​the 200 block of South Main Street in Ellijay. However, it was later determined that the shooting occurred on Talona Road in Gilmer County. Warden was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Deputies, detectives and GBI agents from the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office, who were called in to assist with the investigation, began investigating this case. At this time, GRAY ANTHONY MCCLURE, age 21, of Ellijay, ROBERT GABRIEL SHOILEKOV, age 17, of Ellijay, and DAVONNTE LAVON BREHON, age 18, of Ellijay, were charged with murder.

This investigation is being led by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and detectives from the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office.
