Was Lainey Wilson spat on during her performance? Singer claims she 'moved on' despite the horrific incident

Lainey Wilson has spoken about one of the horrific incidents that happened to her during one of her concerts. During her appearance on the podcast “Taste of Country Nights,” the singer recalled being spat on during her performance.

She admitted that she wanted to resign to find out who was responsible for the nasty stunt, but Wilson claimed that she continued her performance without actually taking any action.

Speaking to the podcast host, the Heart Like A Truck singer elaborated on the incident, saying: “Last year when we were headlining on our tour, when we were just on a club tour, someone spat on me on stage.” She added: “I thought about going there and finding whoever it was, but I didn't. I just kept going. I just kept driving.”

In addition, the Grammy winner shared how she reacted to the situation. She said that she could laugh about the incident, but at the time it happened, she felt disgusted.

Wilson revealed: “First of all.” She added: “I thought to myself, 'Why on earth would you buy a ticket and then spit on someone?' But there are some mean people in the world. Also, they could have just been drunk and just being silly.”

Furthermore, the Watermelon Moonshine singer added to her previous statements that she saw it coming. “It was like I made eye contact with the saliva, and then it just landed on me and I was like, 'I have a heart like a truck.'”

Wilson is not the first artist to experience such a disgusting event. Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Adele and Harry Styles have all previously been confronted with things thrown at them.

The musician also had to deal with a wardrobe problem at one of the previous performances when her pants ripped. Later at the event, the singer joked about the incident after changing. “You just got a real show. A real show!”

On the other hand, Wilson posted on her Instagram account announcing that she had opened a bar on Broadway. The musician shared a picture of herself and wrote in the caption, “I've dreamed of opening my own bar on Broadway for years and last night we were able to celebrate that dream becoming a reality. I always said if I ever had my own place it would be called Bell Bottoms Up and I would bring a little bit of Louisiana to Nashville.”

The musician opened the bar on September 18th.
