Patrick Loudermilk arrested for attempted murder in Grant

GRANT, Alabama (WAFF) – A man was arrested on attempted murder charges in Grant Saturday morning.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, officers were dispatched to a stabbing victim on Columbus City Road around 6:48 a.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, investigators found the victim in the Columbus City Road apartment and were also dispatched to Swearengin Road, where officers said the incident occurred.

Authorities said after a preliminary investigation, 43-year-old Patrick O'Neal Loudermilk of Grant was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Loudermilk is being held without bail in the Marshall County Jail awaiting his initial appearance before a judge.

According to officials, the victim is expected to recover after being transported to a local hospital.
