1 dead, 1 injured in head-on collision in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, Alabama (WSFA) – A two-car crash in Perry County left one car injured and another dead.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. Friday on Alabama State Route 219, about 15 miles north of Selma, when two cars collided head-on.

Deborah S. Browder, 69, of Valley Grande, was ejected from her car because she was not wearing a seatbelt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Donna M. McDaniel, 58, of Vance, was flown by helicopter to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment of her injuries.

No further information is available as ALEA forces continue their investigation.
