This weekend, I-405 will be closed in Bothell and Renton. What you should know

There will be two closures on I-405 this weekend, northbound in Bothell and southbound in Renton.

BOTHELL, Wash. — Interstate 405 will be closed twice this weekend, northbound and southbound, in Bothell and Renton. Here's what you need to know.

Beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, the northbound lanes in Bothell between State Route 522 and State Route 527 will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday. The southbound lanes in Renton between State Route 900/State Route 169 and State Route 167 will be closed from midnight Friday until 4 a.m. Monday.

Washington State Department of Transportation contractors will repave sections of northbound I-405 in Bothell as part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 improvement project. On southbound I-405 in Renton, crews will work to replace pavement panels and install drainage as part of the project to widen I-405/Renton to Bellevue and create express toll lanes.

The northbound Bothell closure includes the following on- and off-ramps:

  • Northeast 160th Street ramp to I-405 northbound
  • SR 522 eastbound/westbound ramps to I-405 northbound
  • Northeast 195th Street/Beardslee Boulevard on- and off-ramps
  • Exit SR 527

The southbound Renton closure includes the following on- and off-ramps:

  • Sunset Boulevard Northeast ramp to I-405 South
  • On- and off-ramps SR 900/SR 169
  • Talbot Road South on- and off-ramps
  • Exit SR 167
