Hank Brown on his SEC debut, SG Kiyan Anthony on AU recruitment

Last weekend, Redshirt Freshman Quarterback Hank Brown breathed new life into to the Auburn football offense when he took over the starting job from Payton Thorne. He was the highest-graded QB in the SEC according to PFF and showed good decision-making throughout the game.

There is a big difference between New Mexico and Arkansas, however, and the Tigers' new QB1 is preparing for his first conference start in the orange and blue.

“I think from week one I tried to prepare like I was the starter,” Brown said. by Auburn Undercover. “Now that I am, of course I will continue to prepare in this way. Now that SEC games are coming up, the intensity within the team is increasing. My challenge to the team is that we look at every week as the most important game. I will continue to do that.”

Meanwhile, head coach Bruce Pearl and his staff are working hard to recruit new players for the Auburn basketball team. The Tigers were part of the game for 4-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony (son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony) and recently Anthony gave an update on his recruitment.

Anthony is the 34th-ranked prospect in the class of 2025 and has narrowed his choices down to six: Rutgers, Syracuse, USC, Ohio State, Florida State and Auburn Basketball.

“They are planning to come to an open gym next week and they have also been trying to set up a visit date for next month,” Anthony said of Auburn basketball. per 247 Sports“I look forward to speaking with them next week.”

Anthony has two more official visits scheduled and plans to make his final decision in late October or early November.
