Tips and predictions for Memphis at Navy

forecast

Memphis 28, Navy 24

Money line

HAPPEN.

Memphis (-350) will win this game, but Navy stays close. I'm betting on them to score points and avoid the moneyline.

Against the spread

BET NAVY +9.5 (-110).

Memphis just came off a big win over Florida State, but Navy's triple-option offense will give them a tough task. Sure, the Tigers have won their last 5 meetings, but Navy has played well in 2 of their last 4 meetings, so they know how to compete.

Navy is coming off an impressive performance against Temple, and although their defense allowed 21 points against Bucknell in Week 1, they have the potential to improve. Controlling the clock will be key for them to keep Memphis' high-powered offense in check. If Navy can establish their running game, they have a good chance of staying within that gap. I like the Midshipmen with the points here.

Over/Under

Bet over 49.5 (-110).

The over has struck in their last two meetings and both teams are finding their rhythm. Navy is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games which is promising.

Memphis is averaging over 32 points per game, while Navy has been surprisingly strong, averaging 43.5 points over the first two games. With both offenses running well, this game could likely easily surpass that number.
