Starkville man arrested on multiple charges

On Friday evening, September 20, Draper Manning, 42, of Starkville, was arrested for burglary, grand larceny, motor vehicle theft, and disorderly conduct – failure to obey.

STARKVILLE, Mississippi (WCBI) – Starkville Police have arrested a man on several charges.

On Friday evening, September 20, Draper Manning, 42, of Starkville, was arrested for burglary, grand larceny, motor vehicle theft, and disorderly conduct – failure to obey.

He was arrested in Long Street shortly after fleeing from officers on foot.

Manning stole a vehicle from an apartment complex on Long Street and then drove to
an apartment complex on Louisville Street and broke into it.

At the time of the break-in, the apartment was occupied.

The suspect and the victim already knew each other before the incidents.

Manning was taken to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
