Two adults are killed in an accident in West Valley and several children are hospitalized

TOLLESON, Arizona – A head-on collision in the West Valley on Saturday left two adults dead and an unknown number of children hospitalized, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Tolleson police told 12News the accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. near the intersection of 85th Avenue and McDowell Road.

MCSO said a man and a woman were killed in the accident. Several children were taken to a nearby hospital with “very serious injuries.” MCSO did not disclose exactly how many children were injured.

The identities of the fatalities and the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
