Attacked on duty: Ambala paramedic attacked and threatened by accused while on duty | News from Chandigarh

Ambala: A doctor at Baldev Nagar Municipal Health Centre (UPHC) in Ambala has alleged that he was threatened and pressured by accused against whom he had filed a complaint of assault while on duty.
Dr Rahul Mittal had filed a complaint on September 16, after which an FIR was filed against Ravi Kaushik and his accomplice Deepak. The police arrested Deepak while the main accused Ravi, whose father is a former police officer, is on the run.
Sunil Dutt, SHO of Baldev Nagar police station, said they were making efforts to arrest the accused. In his complaint, Dr Rahul said the accused Ravi and his accomplice attacked him while he was on duty after he refused to issue a prescription for a child who was not accompanying them. “They beat and abused me on the main road of Baldev Nagar,” he said.
