Motorcyclist killed in apparent hit-and-run accident northwest of Indy

The accident was reported on September 21 at around 8:15 p.m. in the 5600 block of Michigan Road, near Kessler Boulevard West Drive.

INDIANAPOLIS – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident in northwest Indy on Saturday evening.

According to an IMPD press release, officers responded to a reported injury crash in the 5600 block of Michigan Road, near Kessler Boulevard West Drive in northwest Indy, around 8:15 p.m. on September 21.

When officers arrived, they found that the accident involved a motorcycle and another vehicle. Police stated that the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS). Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The IMPD is investigating the accident as a hit-and-run.
