Daniel Suárez got into an argument with Erik Jones after an incident on the track at the Bristol Night Race

A bit of drama when Daniel Suárez can't really afford it. He clashed with Erik Jones on the track in Bristol. Jones cut in front of Suárez and sent the Trackhouse Racing driver off the track.

Daniel Suárez is currently three laps behind the cutline, just a few points behind, but that won't stop him from competing against Jones on the track.

The 99 team probably won't be happy to see that from their driver. He'll have to keep his cool the rest of the night if he wants to make it to the round of 12.

This is an incredibly risky move by Daniel Suárez. He must have the patience and awareness to know that he cannot let himself be ruined tonight. His points lead is fragile. Three laps behind, that is not the position a playoff driver wants to be in in the elimination race.

Tonight, Christopher Bell, Alex Bowman and Kyle Larson have already qualified for the next round before the race has even finished. Harrison Burton is out of the race, he cannot make it at this point. However, there are 11 drivers who are at risk if a major mistake or accident should occur.

Daniel Suárez has built up a good points lead. He needs to be focused and aware of what's at stake tonight. Jones has cut him off, that sucks. Get over it. Just dropping a few places or moving Ty Gibbs up a few spots could make all the difference.

When it comes to single digits on the cutline, it's dangerous. This is the kind of territory where one bad pit stop can ruin your night, not to mention trading places with a driver for 31st place.

Daniel Suárez cannot afford to make any mistakes

Although Daniel Suárez is in 31st place, he has a good chance of advancing thanks to his work in Atlanta and Watkins Glen. Trackhouse Racing did a great job preparing this '99 team for this round and it paid off.

This was the only race that worried them. Suárez has a terrible record at Bristol, but by scoring so many points in the first two races he had a lead that he has now almost used up.

It's a race between Gibbs 99 and Gibbs 54. The young second-year Cup Series driver is trying his best to move up if Suárez doesn't fall further behind. Gibbs could finish tonight's race in 5th place and move up further now. In 8th place, Gibbs is still five points behind Suárez.

Daniel Suárez is doing what he has to do. It's not pretty, but racing isn't always pretty. The '99 team just wants a spot in the round of 12 and a chance to advance in the postseason.
