Franchestown NH Nolan Trottier killed in crash – NECN

A 21-year-old man died early Saturday morning in Francestown, New Hampshire, after his car crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

The New Hampshire State Police were alerted to the single-vehicle accident on Route 136 by a passerby at around 4:15 a.m. However, the passerby was unable to help the driver because the vehicle caught fire as a result of the collision.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the Subaru Crosstrek left the road and collided head-on with a tree, resulting in fatal injuries to the driver.

Nolan Trottier of Francestown, the vehicle's sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Route 136 was closed in the accident area for about two hours Saturday morning while emergency crews conducted their investigation.

The police did not initially provide any information about the possible cause of the accident. All circumstances are still being investigated.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has additional information that may assist in the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Alexander Guilbeault at [email protected] or 603-223-4381.

According to state police, this is just one of several fatal crashes that have occurred in New Hampshire communities in the past 24 hours. Two people were killed in New Ipswich and a 17-year-old boy died in Dublin when his car crashed into a tree.

Police urge everyone to obey speed limits and never drive while distracted or impaired.
