Minor seriously injured after ATV accident in Chesterfield, NH, says Fish and Game

A minor was hospitalized after an ATV accident in Chesterfield, authorities said. New Hampshire Fish and Game said the 911 call came in around 3:50 p.m. Saturday. Authorities said a minor was riding an ATV on private property near Suverino Road when the front tire became stuck, causing the passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. Officials said the ATV then rolled over the minor, who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. According to Fish and Game, the minor was not wearing a helmet while riding. The minor was later taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for treatment, authorities said. Fish and Game said they are investigating the case, and inexperience and lack of safety training appear to be factors in the accident.
